This one is truly astounding to me for a couple of reasons. One, I'm a long time Star Wars and sci-fi fan. Two, the costume designer, Shawna Trpcic, recently passed away - I had just seen her just a few months prior. Shawna always celebrated my work and called upon me when she wanted something bold and creative. Her kindness and creativity will be sorely missed.

Shawna asked me if I wanted to make some jewelry for "space pirates" and after sending me an NDA, I got sketches and inspiration that told me instantly that this was for Star Wars, The Mandalorian. Talk about a dream come true!

Although I sent dozens of pieces, the final pieces used were on head space pirate Vane in season 3 episodes The Apostate and The Pirate. Shawna modified two necklaces I sent into one - a horseshoe shaped pendant on chain plus a coral and brass beaded chain.
